A figure sits upright in bed, head in hands, nine swords on the wall. This is the card of anxiety as an event — the 3am spiral, the worry that has become its own full-time occupation. The swords are on the wall, not in anyone; the fear is real and the threat is mostly imagined. That is not a dismissal of the feeling.
Reversed, the worst of it passes. Perspective returns, the fear is named, and it turns out to be smaller in daylight. Reaching out to someone is often the mechanism. If the anxiety is persistent rather than situational, this card reversed supports getting real help.
Worry about a relationship, or the anxiety of not knowing where you stand. Reversed, it points to a conversation that ends the guessing.
Work stress that has become chronic and is affecting your sleep. Reversed, it points to addressing the source rather than enduring it.
Financial worry that is disproportionate to the actual numbers. Reversed, looking at the real figures brings relief.
